Dzikir sebagai Strategi Regulasi Emosi dalam Perspektif Psikologi Tasawuf: Studi Literatur

Emotional regulation is essential for mental well-being, given the negative impact of unmanaged emotions. Although contemporary psychology is effective, the spiritual dimension is often overlooked. In Sufism, dhikr is a central practice of tazkiyatun nafs (purification of the soul) that calms the heart through a relationship with Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala. This study aims to explain dhikr as a method of emotional regulation from the perspective of Sufi psychology. This research is a qualitative study using a literature review method. Data were collected by reviewing various relevant primary and secondary sources, such as scientific journals, books, and other publications relevant to the research topic. The collected data were then analyzed using content analysis to identify and synthesize key findings. Findings indicate that emotional regulation in Sufism involves the harmonization of the Nafs (self), Qalb (heart), and Aql (intellect) through tazkiyatun nafs. Various studies confirm that dhikr is effective in reducing anxiety, stress, and negative thoughts, as well as increasing inner peace, spirituality, and emotional control. Dhikr functions as a comprehensive Islamic psychotherapy, facilitating the attainment of nafs al-muthmainnah (the tranquil soul) for the sake of psychological stability and inner peace.

7. Royalties

8. Miscellaneous
