About the Journal
Urang Basamo Journal is a scholarly outlet dedicated to disseminating the outcomes of community service, empowerment programs, and applied research that advance social welfare and sustainable development. The journal provides a platform for academics, practitioners, and researchers to share innovative practices, models, and solutions to real-world community challenges, emphasizing collaboration and inclusivity through the integration of knowledge, local wisdom, and scientific approaches. The journal is published twice a year, in June and December Submissions should be evidence-based, context-sensitive, and demonstrate tangible contributions to community capacity and resilience.
To ensure relevance and usefulness, manuscripts should articulate the problem context, intervention objectives, methodological design, implementation process, key findings, and actionable lessons. Authors are encouraged to present impact indicators, stakeholder engagement, and strategies for sustainability and replication. The journal welcomes diverse contributions, including case studies, action research, program evaluations, and applied reviews that inform improvements in public and community services.
The journal upholds scientific integrity through a rigorous peer-review process. Authors are expected to comply with research ethics and respect for participants and community partners. Urang Basamo promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and academic–community partnerships to strengthen knowledge transfer, enrich methodologies, and expand meaningful social impact.
