Abstract

Based on the results of volunteering and competition activities by several students of the English language study program uin fatmawati sukarno bengkulu held during the holy month of Ramadan at the al-furqan mosque which found the results that this activity aims to complete non-formal education for children in Kebun Dahri in the event of the Ramadan Movement of Children of the Masjid al-furqan Kebun Dahri (GRAMA), then explore the potential in fostered children, and increase enthusiasm and motivation to learn. The approach method in this activity uses a direct participatory method, where members interact directly with the community in teaching. The results of this approach to volunteer activities are bringing new variations to the local community, and volunteer involvement increases togetherness among participants and increases learning motivation for children. The conclusion is that the role of volunteers is very useful for the addition of English knowledge for participants in mastering daily activity and daily conversation materials and the role of volunteers also plays an important role in building togetherness and improving social relations for the community.
