Abstract

This article discusses the implementation of a mini workshop which was held to increase educators' understanding in compiling English teaching module in accordance with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. Basically, the Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes independence, creativity and flexibility in learning, allowing educators to develop material that is relevant and interesting for students. This workshop includes various stages, starting from needs analysis which aims to identify gaps and needs of participants, socialization of the principles of the Independent Curriculum, to practical training involving the use of modern technology as a learning aid. In addition, an evaluation was carried out to assess the effectiveness of the workshop and participants' understanding. The results of the workshop showed that participants were not only able to understand the concept of the Independent Curriculum, but also apply technology effectively in learning. It is hoped that this ability can inspire students to learn independently and more creatively, as well as improve the quality of English language learning at school. This workshop also opens up space for prospective educators to share experiences and strategies in overcoming challenges in implementing the Independent Curriculum, thereby creating a mutually supportive and innovative learning community.
