PEMBERIAN PENGUATAN VERBAL DAN PENGARUHNYA PADA MOTIVASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS V SEKOLAH DASAR

Tujuan dari dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh pemberian penguatan verbal terhadap motivasi belajar Matematika pada siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian dalam studi ini adalah penelitian lapangan (field research) dengan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian penguatan verbal terhadap motivasi belajar matematika siswakelasV SD. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil perhitungan korelasi diperoleh nilai “r” hitung 0,472 dengan N= 26 pada df 24 taraf signifikansi 5% sebesar 0,388. Sedangkan hasil hitung rxy sebesar 0,472 ternyata lebih besar daripada “r” tabel pada taraf signifikansi 5%, sehingga dapat membuktikan hipotesis yang menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian penguatan verbal terhadap motivasi belajar matematika siswa kelasV SD. Sedangkan untuk hasil pemberian penguatan verbal memberikan kontribusi terhadap motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika yaitu sebesar 22,27 % dan sisanya yaitu 77,3 % ditentukan oleh variabel lain.
