The role of caregiving interaction within the family is an essential aspect of shaping early childhood personality and development. Through warm and positive interactions between parents and children, moral, social, and emotional values can be instilled from an early age. This study aims to examine the role of caregiving interaction in the family toward the development of young children, particularly in forming their character and social behavior. This research employed a qualitative approach using observation and interviews with parents who have children aged 4–6 years, with a total sample of 4 couples of parents from different family environments. The findings indicate that caregiving interactions grounded in affection, open communication, and parental modeling create a harmonious and conducive environment for children’s growth and development. Conversely, authoritarian or inattentive interactions may lead to anxiety, low self-esteem, and difficulties in children’s socialization. In conclusion, the role of caregiving interaction within the family significantly determines the direction of early childhood development; therefore, parents need to enhance their awareness and skills in building positive communication and warm emotional bonds with their children.

No breach or violation of this agreement will cause this agreement or any license granted in it to terminate automatically or affect the definition of Insan Cendekia.
7. Royalties
This agreement entitles the author to no royalties or other fees. To such extent as legally permissible, the author waives his or her right to collect royalties relative to the article in respect of any use of the article by Insan Cendekia or its sublicensee.
8. Miscellaneous
The Insan Cendekia will publish the article, or arrange for its publication, provided that the editorial process is successfully completed and the journal or its sublicensee becomes obligated to publish the article.
